We all knew Batman was a lonely guy (who sits inside a dark cave all day waiting for crime anyway?) but we never expected he’s the type to go on solo road trips through Texas and taking dramatic photos. French photographer Remi Noel brought his Batman action figure along on his trip through San Antonio and Texas, snapping photos of the famous caped crusader every opportunity he got.
‘Well, Batman is a long story. It’s a toy that I stole from my son one day when I was cleaning his room’ Noel tells Metro. ‘I did a photo, then two, then three, and it became a series. So it isn’t my sole series, but it’s one of my series.
The black-and-white images of Batman doing stuff alone gives us a glimpse at the solitary life the Dark Knight leads, but it also reflects the lonely feeling Noel has whenever he goes to America.
‘Since I go to the United States by myself, I take Batman with me to feel less alone. And I take him out – I set him up in scenarios’.
